Quiet Saturday before the storm

Caelin and Cory- and 30 other middle schoolers headed to Florida on Friday for the Florida-Georgia Middle School Youth Gathering...it is a little quiet and lonely around the house without them. Delaney keeps asking "Where's Daddy?"....
This morning I was feeling quite proud of myself. It was Saturday and I managed to get Chad, Jared, Blake and Delaney into the car, headed to Blake's soccer game on time. But we get there and immediately Blake says "Uh-oh". He forgot to put his cleats on. How does a child heading to a soccer game forget the cleats? I won't even go there! I was seeing red and actually considered strangling the child...
Veteran's Day is Tuesday- I have planned a huge assembly, decorated the school, assigned and graded 48 essays, and completed 3 Veterans history Project boards with the middle school classes...It is safe to say that I will be much happier on Wednesday- after Veteran's Day. I don't need to count down to Thanksgiving Break (which by the way is in 10 school days- count em!)...
Well, the house is asleep...best to lay my head down as well.
